Garrard House
Deep Cleaning
Case Study

"A one-off clean became a contracted service"

Abbeyfield approached Cleaníge to provide a deep clean of their independent living home, Garrad House in Kings Langley in March of 2023. The property hadn't been cleaned on a regular basis, so when the new house manager took over we were called in to help. Our team completed the service in April and the client was delighted with the results. A one-off clean became a contracted service.

Cleaníge was initially approached by a trustee of Abbeyfield via a referral from one of our existing clients. The trustee was seeking support with a commercial deep clean of Garrad House, Kings Langley. After meeting with the management team, we created a bespoke proposal and quotation and to our delight we were awarded the work. Our team of cleaners got to work deep cleaning every nook and cranny, pulling out furniture, cleaning lights, cobwebs, cello tape marks etc. Two days of hard graft and methodical cleaning resulted in one very happy customer, although they were not in a position to require an ongoing cleaning service at the time. We were still happy to have been able to help them achieve a standard of clean they hadn't seen in that building for some time.

Whenever we are awarded deep cleans, our approach is simple, follow a set list of tasks in an efficient manner and check all work on completion. This ensures we deliver on the finish and standard that the client expects and that our team does not have to go back to rectify any areas that were missed. We've built a solid reputation for providing exceptional cleanliness standards and maintaining quality is imperative to retaining that reputation.

As Garrad House is an independent living home with communal areas, our instructions were to sanitise and clean all touchpoints such as door handles and keypads, to remove marks on walls, cobwebs, dust and clean behind and underneath furniture, fixtures and fittings such as lights and mirrors. We also deep cleaned the laundry room, communal toilet, and the kitchen which included the oven and appliances.

The house manager Susan Bishop and the residents were very happy with our team's work, so much so that eventually we were awarded the contract for providing a weekly cleaning service. We also gained another five-star review on Google:

"I would highly recommend James and his team who carried out a deep clean last year and now provide a weekly cleaning service for us at Garrad House, Abbeyfield. James is a pleasure to deal with, very polite, professional and has great attention to detail. We always look forward to James and his team arriving as we know they always do such a wonderful job!"

Keeping the communal areas in Garrad House hygienic and clean reduces bacterial spread between residents, it creates a welcoming and inviting atmosphere and ultimately Abbeyfield staff no longer have to complete the cleaning themselves which increases their workplace productivity levels.
